The 6th annual Keystone Fine Art juried exhibition opened Friday at the Walk In Art Center, 200 Parkway in Schuylkill Haven.
People can see the show until the closing ceremony on April 16. There will be free refreshments, live music and prize giving for the show winners.
“We’ve added a few new elements to the exhibition,” says Jacqueline Engel, WIAC’s Executive Director. “Visitors can vote for their favorite piece and the piece will win the new audience award.
“We also added a Sculpture category this year, a category that we would like to see grow over the next few years.”
Works in six categories will receive $200 for first place and $100 for second, she said.
“It really is a great opportunity for an artist to see their work.”
Jason Travers, professor of art at Lehigh University, was a member of the exhibition’s jury.
Exhibition winners will be announced at the awards reception, which begins at 1 p.m. on April 16 with refreshments and live music from Steve Mazur.
The exhibit can be viewed weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. until April 16.
