ISLAMABAD – The Art Bazaar will be held at Gallery 6 on Saturday (Today) to connect artisans with art buyers and promote the purchase of local artwork.

The gallery will celebrate its 14th anniversary on March 5 and 6 through this event, which will begin at 11:00 a.m. and end at 7:00 p.m.

The celebration exhibition, which resumes after a two-year hiatus due to Covid-19, is an annual anniversary tradition for the gallery, in which it offers all artwork at reduced prices. This art fair will be an opportunity to purchase art from several genres and a diverse range of works of art.

According to gallery curator Dr. Arjumand Faisel, “This art exhibition will give art lovers a chance to enjoy the works of renowned and emerging artists.”

“About 700 works of art ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 600,000 will be offered for sale this year,” he added. Oil, acrylic, watercolor, and mixed-media paintings in a variety of styles, including realism, expressionism, surrealism, and abstract, will be on display.

From photorealistic paintings by Akram Spaul exploring themes of life and routine, the dreamy and surreal art of Asim Amjad and Wajid Dharkiwala can be acquired. The art festival will showcase figurative works by well-established artists like Hajra Mansur, Rind, Akram Dost, Shiblee Munir, Mughees Riaz, Nisar, Sajida Hussain and Doda Baloch in different styles representing a wide variety of treatments.

While, landscapes by leading artists like Ghulam Mustafa, Sarfraz Musawir, Ajab Khan, Matloob Baig and Fareeha Shahid, depicting current scenes from rural Punjab and KPK with luminous effects of light and shadow, and city scenes from Karachi and Lahore will also be there for the taking.

Abstract paintings in both small and large scale compositions, made with acrylics, oils, watercolors or chemical effects on gold and silver leaf by Abid Hasan, Naqsh Raj, Kanwal Zafar and Rayyan Abid will be on sale during this art gala.

Additionally, calligraphy enthusiasts will be able to get their hands on a large collection of artwork in this field, including two paintings by renowned artist and art teacher Rashid Arshed and others by upcoming artists. like Wasil Shahid, Syed Rizwan, Shahid Rana and Kabir Ahmed.

Several works by emerging artists such as Sujjal Kayani, Safwan Bashir, Unab Sumble, Samra Cheema, Mariam Arshad, Aun Raza, Rahman Zada ​​and Sana Iqbal will also be featured.

The bazaar, in addition to the above, will feature prints by Irum Wani, Sana Arjumand, Mehwish Azam and others, sculptures by Sajjad Akram, Nazeer Ahmad and Nabeel Majeed as well as ceramic pieces based on paintings by Sadequain by Ghafar Mohiuddin.
