‘Field Concert’ Art Exhibit Opens This Week at The Brick City Center for the Arts

A one-woman art exhibit opens in Ocala this week.

‘Field Concert’ by artist Kay Deuben opens Friday, March 4 with a reception at Marion Cultural Alliance’s Brick City Center for the Arts (23 SW Broadway Street) from 5-6:30 p.m.

The reception will include tapas, drinks, raffle prizes and a chance to meet this month’s featured artist. All artwork is for sale and a percentage of every sale will benefit the Mill Creek Farm Horse Retirement Home in Alachua County.

Deuben currently paints in oil and pastel, and she occasionally uses watercolor or acrylic.

His works are exhibited at Mossman Hall in Melrose, in St. Augustine with the First Coast Pastel Society, and in Central Florida with the Pastel Society of Central Florida. She won the Best in Show award and other mentions in local art exhibitions and competitions.

The exhibition will be on display until Saturday, March 26. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission to the gallery is free and open to the public.
